Interestingly, Newbury IV were first to win the Thames Valley Invitational League (TVIL) trophy in its inaugural seasons back in 1999/2000, so we're excited to be able to rejoin many years later alongside Reading Rhinos, Rams V, Egham Hollowegians and Phoenix II forming our opposition for a total of 8 league matches this season.

Hosting games at Monk's Lane on Friday evenings under lights has been a hit with both players and spectators, who enjoy the atmosphere and a beer at the end of the working week. We're happy to confirm that there are 4 home Friday-evening league games, with free entry and the bar very much open!

Given most of the TVIL teams contain players of all ages, we'll look to bring in a few younger players for some of the matches along the way, meaning that NRFC Bulldogs can continue to focus on opportunities to play for men over 35, while offering younger players who've retired from league rugby the chance to enjoy some more competitive and social games too.
